I absolutely love knitting with Lion Brand Quick and Thick yarns as they are easy to work with, knit up quickly, are soft and luxurious to the touch, and super warm. The colors featured in this blog post are "Fig" (maroon color) and "Fisherman" (cream color). The other thing I love about Lion Brand Quick and thick is that its made with a blend of 20% wool, 80% acrylic, making it machine washable. The wool keeps the hats thick and soft while the acrylic yarn provides practicality and durability to the yarn.

The Vortex Beanie is suitable for all skill levels from beginner to experienced knitters. To complete this bulky knit hat pattern, you should be comfortable with knit stitch, purl stitch, knitting in the round, casting on via the long tail cast on method, following a knitting pattern, knitting 2 stitches together, and weaving in ends when the work is complete. ·        6 Super Bulky Weight Yarn – I used Lion Brand Wool Ease Quick and Thick in color “Fig.” Lion Brand has lots of beautiful colors and is easy to work with. The blend is 20% wool, 80% acrylic and you will need 1 skein to complete this free pattern for chunky knit hat.

·        US Size 15 circular needles (10mm)
